Council for investments and investment climate improvement of Kostroma region
In order to provide state support of the investment activity as well as the development of regional investment policy in the Kostroma region, the Council for investments and investment climate improvement of Kostroma region has been created.
To date, there were two council board meetings.
First Council Board Meeting
Council members considered three investment projects with total investment volume of 2.5 billion roubles.
CJSC "Ortat" will construct the new plant for the production and packaging of medications in Susanino municipal district.
LLC "Fromadzheria" will locate the production of Italian cheese in Volgorechensk.
LLC "RusGran-Kostroma" will build two timber processing enterprises for the production of pellets in Galich and Parfenievo municipal districts.
Kostroma region administration is ready to provide all the necessary financial support from the regional investment fund.
Second Council Board Meeting
Council members considered two investment projects with total investment volume of about 450 million roubles.
General Manager of JSC "Russian Bread" presented the investment project for the reconstruction and modernization of the plant in Kostroma. The project’s target is to purchase new high-tech equipment in order to reduce labour costs that ultimately will allow to increase the number of high-quality products.
The second project considered by the Board is the investment project of LLC "ProfKholod" – creation of the mushroom farm in Kostroma. This project is innovative and focused on import substitution of Chinese products.
Third Council Board Meeting
At the Council there were considered two investment projects with total investments of more than 2.5 billion roubles.
Representatives of companies "Rusinovo" and "Volzhskoe" presented an investment project on creation of tourist and recreation cluster "Fount of Kostroma Land" in Krasnoselsky municipal district. The project will be implemented in the form of public-private partnership. It is also planned to create complex supporting infrastructure at the expense of budget funds.
At the first stage of the project implementation, it is planned to build the objects of environmental and agricultural tourist cluster "Fount of Kostroma Land". The next stage (in 2015 - 2018) will involve the creation of objects for wedding, event, active and boating tourism, as well as collective accommodation of the cluster.
Second project considered by the Council members was project of LLC "Technologies of Recycling" on creation of the integrated system for consumption waste management, including the establishment of technologically related processes for collecting, removing, sorting, partial recycling of solid municipal waste and location of non-recyclable waste parts.
Within the frame of project implementation, it is expected to create 113 new working places with average salary of 24 thousand roubles. Investment volume will amount to 440,5 million roubles.
Both projects got the support by the Council.
Fourth Council Board Meeting
At the Council board there were approved three investment projects with total investments of 10.5 billion roubles:
- LLC «Basalt Polymer Composite" - investment project on production of basalt thread, products made of basalt foam, fibrous-and-porous filter materials in Nerekhta municipal district with total investment volume of more than 10 billion rubles;
- LLC "VolgaStrap" - investment project on production of 8500 tons of polyether strap per year in Kostroma city with total investments of 262 million roubles;
- LLC "FC Dynamo" - investment project on integrated development of sport stadium "Dynamo" in Kostroma city with a total investment volume of 92.5 million roubles.
It is expected that as the result of projects implementation there will be created over 600 new working places and more than 31 billion roubles will assign in the budgets of all levels.
Projects will be included in the Register of investment projects of the Kostroma region.
At the Council board there was also considered the issue on the main directions of “The Investment Strategy of Kostroma Region till 2025”. At the moment the document is under development. It is planned that the Investment Strategy will be established before the end of 2013.
